AMC Colloquium: Collaboration in the Engaged Humanities, on 16 October

You are kindly invited to the Arts, Media & Culture Colloquium ‘Collaboration in the Engaged Humanities’.

During the colloquium, several AMC members will share and reflect on their collaborative work, followed by a plenary discussion. With contributions by Leonie Cornips, Miriam Meissner, Vivian van Saaze, Pieternel Fleskens, and Aagje Swinnen.

When: Wednesday 16 October, 15.30
Where: Spiegelzaal, GG 80-82

The aim of this colloquium is to reflect on different forms of research collaboration with societal partners. While research collaboration is an ongoing concern for the Arts, Media and Culture research programme, we may hold different conceptions of what it means to undertake collaborative research. How do we define research collaboration, and which shapes does it take? How does it affect research processes, output, and impact? What are the perks and perils of collaboration with so-called ‘non-academic’ partners? But also: do the engaged humanities require collaboration, and what does ‘engagement’ mean in the context of recent developments in the humanities?
