On 20 December, the book ‘The Maastricht Experiment: On the challenges faced by a young university 1976 – 2016’ by historian Dr Annemieke Klijn, was published on the occasion of Maastricht University’s 40th anniversary. All UM and MUMC+ members will receive the book as a gift in January 2017. The book features 16 key UM figures as they accompany us on a journey through the history of the university.
‘The Maastricht experiment’ presents an excellent picture of the extraordinary development process of UM over the past 40 years. The anniversary book was initiated by Maastricht University’s Art and Heritage Commission, under the authority of the UM Executive Board, with the support of the Limburg University Fund/SWOL.
