Maastricht’s own Model United Nations (EuroMUN) conference will be held online between 13 and 16 May.

Since its first edition in 2008, EuroMUN has become one of the most prestigious MUN conferences in Continental Europe. EuroMUN has established itself as a conference of academic excellence through high-quality debates on the most relevant topics. This year, the conference hosts 12 committees such as the United Nations Security Council, North Atlantic Treaty Organization, European Parliament and Group of 20, thus covering a wide range of prevailing topics.
The committees are divided into four levels of difficulty, ensuring all delegates to have an opportunity to challenge and improve themselves through our debate. The conference will be centred around the topic ‘FORWARD through System Change’. Since the beginning of 2020 a variety of problems our society has been facing for many decades already have become more visible than ever. The outbreak of COVID-19, the Black Lives Matter movement or Climate protests have shifted the public’s attention onto systemic issues our society faces. EuroMUN 2021 aims to debate such pressing challenges constructively while remaining to look FORWARD.
EuroMUN 2021 is scheduled as an online conference. This way it can be ensured that even under tightening governmental measures or another severe outbreak of COVID-19 the conference will take place.
