Sharpening your senses elective, from 7 February to 18 April

Do you need some extra credits and want to do something different?

A collaboration between FASoS, the Medical Faculty, Marres and the SkillsLab, the Shaping your senses elective helps you train your senses and explore and better understand embodied knowledge.

It runs from 7 February to 18 April 2023 on Tuesday mornings, and will alternate between class experiments, fun fieldwork and independent work.

IT equipment sales for the FASoS Garden

The selling process of various equipment that was previously used in education rooms has resumed. The money that is raised will be used for the FASoS Garden!

Workshop: Echolocation & multi-sensory interactions, on 23 November

Both sighted & non-sighted participants are invited to join this Training the Senses workshop in an exploration of our non-visual senses. It will include an introduction to Echolocation (or Click Sonar), and considers how people collectively experience each other and the spatial environment through their auditory and tactile senses.

UM launches FASoS student project ‘QR Code: Are you okay?’

Have you ever experienced confusion (or even helplessness) while trying to establish a support system at UM? FASoS Student Representatives understand these obstacles. They are doing what they can to help streamline the process of finding the support you need at UM.

The Student Representatives are extremely proud to announce that this week marks the launch of a project they helped develop: the QR codes that can now be found in every bathroom.
