Call for applications: two new members of the Assessment Support Team (AST)

We are looking for two new members of the FASoS Assessment Support Team (AST).

The AST provides advice to FASoS staff regarding examination formats and examination content (before an exam is administered). It is also responsible for the faculty’s assessment policy. The team reports to the Faculty Board. Currently the AST is coordinated by Robin Dirix, EDaP.

The two new AST members will be charged with:

  • writing a FASoS fraud-prevention policy for online exams (urgent task with a view to the COVID-crisis);
  • updating the FASoS assessment policy annually;
  • aligning the FASoS assessment policy with the UM framework/vision on assessment;
  • evaluating programmes’ assessment plans;
  • advising on assessment-related questions from colleagues.

Candidates should have good knowledge of and a keen interest in assessment practices and policies. Experience as a responsible examiner of a FASoS course is a must. Having served previously on a Board of Examiners or Assessment Committee is considered an asset, as is the completion of courses/trainings in educational science or course/assessment design.

Remuneration: 80 Solver hours per year.

For more information, please contact Robin Dirix (r.dirix@maastrichtuniversity.nl).

Please send your application (max. 1 page motivation, plus short CV) to Marjo Krebbeks (marjo.krebbeks@maastrichtuniversity.nl) by Friday 18 September 2020.
