Call for interim Programme Director MA GDS

We are looking for an interim Programme Director for the MA Globalisation and Development Studies, to take over the daily management of the programme between 1 February – 30 June 2021, temporarily replacing Lauren Wagner, who will be on leave.

Tasks involve the daily management of the programme, including inter alia:

  1. Coordination of teaching staff and interaction with other internal players such as OMT, the Board of Examiners, MarCom, Finance, Faculty Management, etc;
  2. Inform, instruct and evaluate course coordinators and teaching assistants;
  3. Representative functions regarding PR, recruitment and alumni activities;
  4. Communication with students.

We are looking for an academic staff member who:

  • Is enthusiastic about teaching and the organisation of education at our Faculty;
  • Holds a PhD degree;
  • Has prior experience with teaching in this programme OR with (co-)managing educational programmes at FASoS (i.e. as programme director, coordinator of a Minor programme, or similar);
  • Holds the BKO certificate;
  • Is a team-player and has strong managerial skills.

The selected candidate is expected to start on 1 February 2021. The remuneration previewed for this position is 100 solver hours.
