Call for MaRBLe coordinators

Are you working on an interesting research project? Would you be interested in making students part of this process? If so, please consider applying as a MaRBLe project coordinator.

As a coordinator, you are to set-up an engaging research project and plan the necessary supporting activities that enable the MaRBLe group – ranging between 6 and 12 students – to conduct (joint) research.

See here for an overview of this year’s projects.

If you are interested in applying, please draft a 1-page description of your project and submit your proposal to j.adriaensen@maastrichtuniversity.nl and r.zeiss@maastrichtuniversity.nl before 26 April. You can also contact us for further information.

The Maastricht Research-Based Learning (MARBLE) Programme is an Excellence Programme and brings together students from the different FASoS bachelors for five months (period 4-6). As a coordinator, you are to set-up an engaging research project and plan the necessary supporting activities that enable the MaRBLe group – ranging between 6 and 12 students – to conduct (joint) research. At the same time, the registered students will write their individual bachelor thesis on the MaRBLe theme under your supervision. The project should be of interest to students of at least two of the three bachelor programmes of FASoS and includes preferably a valorization component (e.g. cooperation with a societal/third party, the creation of vlogs, blogs, a wiki, or another dissemination event). Compensation is 130 SOLVER hours for coordination plus a contribution for each student supervised.

In case there are many interested coordinators, a selection will be made based on the projects’ ability to enlist students of at least two of the three bachelor programmes (its interdisciplinarity), the way in which it challenges students beyond a regular thesis trajectory, the valorization component, and how it complements already running projects in terms of themes. Please note that students can choose their preferred project; it may happen that not all projects receive sufficient interest.
