Call for Proposals: 2nd European Teaching and Learning Conference

The Institute for European Studies (IES) at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) will host the 2nd European Conference on Teaching and Learning Politics, International Relations and European Studies, on Thursday 9-Friday 10 June 2016. The EUROTLC conference aims to bring together experts from academia, educational developers and policy-makers alike to discuss the topic of teaching Political Science, European Studies and International Relations. Please submit your proposals by Monday 22 February.

At teaching conferences, we very often talk about active learning, about giving learners space to engage, about the added value of actively discovering a topic. And at the very same teaching conferences we very often sit through hours of presentation, spending too little time on exchanging, discussing or experimenting. This time is different. The 2nd European Conference on Teaching and Learning Politics, IR and ES is different. No more hours of listening, squeezing in discussants, and having too little time during the coffee break to have the “real-useful” conversations. Activities during this two-day interactive event are manifold: experience, provoke, stimulate, discuss, challenge, experiment.

The Institute of European Studies, VUB is hosting the 2nd European Teaching and Learning Conference during 9-10 June 2016, which is jointly organized by BISA, ECPR, PSA and UACES.
