Call for proposals: Ghent University joint doctorates

Ghent University invites applications, under its special research fund, for its joint doctoral grants. These support PhD students who wish to take a doctorate under joint supervision of Ghent University and a non-Flemish partner university or institution of higher education. The duration is a minimum of six months and a maximum of 24 months at Ghent University. This period may be divided into several periods within the span of four years.

Two types of funding are available, covering only the stay at Ghent University:

•PhD scholarship, for which the student receives a minimum of €1,823 per month and the Ghent University promoter a bench-fee of €310 a month;

•top-up funding, for which the student receives €1,000 per month and the Ghent University promoter a bench-fee of €310 a month.

Candidates must be enrolled at a non-Flemish university or institute of higher education.
