The Dutch TV show the National Science Quiz (De Nationale Wetenschapsquiz) is challenging scientific researchers nation-wide to come up with original and inventive questions for the quiz, preferably with a focus on humanities and social sciences. The show is a joint initiative of the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) and the Dutch TV channel VPRO. Submit your question before 15 May!
The editorial board of the National Science Quiz is looking for compact and clear-cut questions. Reasoning should be the only means to find the answers to the questions. In other words, one should not be able to find the answer via google. In addition to a question and a description of the answer, researchers are invited to suggest how the question/answer can be demonstrated in the studio via an experiment or in another manner.
