In line with the FASoS Strategic Personnel Plan for Academic Staff (2016-20), and the faculty’s, and UM, ambition to enable greater diversity in career paths, the Faculty Board has decided to open up a faculty-wide UHD2 position for a colleague excelling in the field of teaching and learning.
Besides fulfilling the minimum criteria in terms of teaching, research and management, as defined in the ‘Supplement to FASoS Recruitment and Career Policy Academic Staff’, the candidate:
- Has shown impact on the educational environment through for instance systemic curriculum reform, the development of new educational formats, and/or institutional collaboration in the field of teaching;
- Has contributed to pedagogical scholarship by reflecting and writing on practices in teaching and learning;
- Has acquired funding through the second or third money stream in the field of education and learning.
It is expected that the colleague in question will continue to invest in educational development and leadership activities and contribute to pedagogical scholarship beyond her/his promotion to the level of associate professor 2.
The selection process will take place according to the procedure defined in the ‘Recruitment and Career Policy Academic Staff FASoS’. Prior to its decision, the FB will consult the permanent FASoS ‘Committee Promotion Assistant- and Associate Professors’ (Benoemingsadviescommissie UD en UHD) who formulates an advice to the faculty board.
The deadline for the submission of portfolios is Thursday 7 May 2020. The FASoS ‘Committee Promotion Assistant- and Associate Professors’ will meet on 9 June. Eligible candidates need to have been UD1 for at least two years by 1 September 2020.
