Maastricht Summer School 2021

This summer, UM will open her doors again to welcome students attending Maastricht Summer School (MSS) courses.

From May through August, MSS will offer 35 different (online) courses in a large variety of subjects and levels in the fields of Art & Culture, Business & Economics, Law & Politics, Science and Social Sciences.

Volunteers wanted for Match for Brighter Futures project

Match Maastricht is looking for volunteers for its Match for Brighter Futures project in which students help teenagers in need with their homework and coach them to develop their talents and realise their dreams.

As a student, you pair up with one high school student. You inspire, motivate, and help them build self-confidence while improving their learning outcomes. Match provides you with training and guidance to help you be a better coach.

CHANCE Lecture Series about EU and International Climate Change Action

The CHANCE Jean Monnet Chair, held by Dr. Giselle Bosse, invites students and staff to participate in the high-level CHANCE lectures, which will take place throughout 2021.

Represent UM as minister of foreign affairs

We are looking for a bright, Dutch-speaking student, who can represent UM as ‘minister of foreign affairs’ in a campaign led by the Dutch universities to bring more visibility to the universities ahead of the Dutch general election this March.

As minister of foreign affairs you will be part of a mock student government and will make a policy agenda with the help of UM staff. Your policy will mostly revolve around European education as basis for better cooperation and a sustainable future. You will be supported by staff in terms of the content of your policy, media training, the making of a vlog and the design of a pamphlet.

The UM director for internationalisation is looking for a bright, Dutch-speaking student, who can represent UM as ‘minister’ of European Integration in a campaign led by the Dutch universities to bring more visibility to the universities ahead of the Dutch general election this March.

A more inclusive UM; how would you realise this? After three successful rounds in previous years, we are happy to announce the 2021 round of the Diversity & Inclusivity (D&I) Grants!

Do you have great ideas on how to increase student or staff diversity? Or how to create a more inclusive UM community?

The deadline for proposals is 15 March 2021.

UM is looking for students or colleagues who are politically active

UM is looking for students or colleagues who are active in Dutch politics or who have clear ideas about the role of the government/design of Dutch higher education, and would like to be interviewed for a new series on the UM website.

Grants from UFL/SWOL

The University Fund Limburg/SWOL awards subsidies to projects of UM staff and students.

You can receive grants for (research) projects, activities and events. The deadline for applications for staff members is 6 February. The deadline for applications for students is 26 February.
