The project ‘Brighter Futures’ is looking for Dutch speaking students!

With ‘Brighter Futures’ you coach a high school student who has fewer opportunities than peers for 2 hours a week.

Do you think it is important to help a student with fewer opportunities? Or did you struggle with school and now want to help a young person yourself?

SDG-Challenge

This Autumn, the sixth edition of the SDG-Challenge will take place. Here, student teams from all Dutch universities work together with leading organisations such as Heineken, Eneco, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and more. This to work collectively on sustainability challenges that the organisations encounter (SDGs).

The SDG-Challenge will take up about 4-5 days spread out over two months, including all events.

As General Crew you can help with scanning tickets and building and breaking down the events. As Media Crew you will capture all the moments with your photo skills. If you have a drivers license you can also transport all the attributes during the week.

When you volunteer during a minimum of two shifts, you get free MECC tickets.

The sustainability platform is currently working on the FASoS garden, interview series, the website for the platform and a sustainability plan for the faculty.

Students and staffs are welcome to share their ideas for new projects and help out with any project related to sustainability.

Volunteer at Open Studios Jan van Eyck Academie

The Jan van Eyck is looking for enthusiastic volunteers of all ages who could help with carrying out the annual Open Studios joyfully and successfully.

Apply before 11 June by sending an email to veronica.ventura@janvaneyck.nl explaining your motivation for joining the team and including the days you can work from 8 June to 1 July. A schedule will be devised depending on your availability.

Retribution: €5 per hour.

Working group on decolonising Arts & Culture curriculum

This is an open call for both students and staff interested in joining a working group on decolonising the Arts & Culture curriculum. The aim is to review the curriculum and offer suggestions that can contribute to decolonisation while maintaining the overall coherence of the programme.

Academic staff can use this for their full CPD hours.
