No FASoS Weekly during Christmas break

FASoS Weekly will take a break during the Christmas holidays from Monday 20 December 2021 until Friday 31 December 2021.

The first edition of the FASoS Weekly after the holidays will be published on Thursday 6 January 2022.

FASoS buildings closed during Christmas break

From Saturday 25 December 2021 until Sunday 2 January 2022 all FASoS faculty buildings will be closed. On Monday 3 January 2022 all buildings will be open again during regular opening hours.

Enjoy the Christmas break and have a happy holiday!

Bandito closed between 13 December and 3 January

Bandito will close its doors for the Christmas holidays as of Monday 13 December.

The Bandito staff is looking forward to welcoming you again on Monday 3 January 2022!

Closing most library locations as of Monday 20 December

As we know from experience, our library locations are virtually without visitors in the week leading up to Christmas. Exams are over and most students are on their way home.

It has therefore been decided to prolong the Christmas closure period with one week. The Inner City Library, Randwyck Library (including LINK and the Computer Facilities), the USC Learning Spaces and Tapijn Loods V will close from Monday 20 December until Sunday 2 January.

It is time for your annual password change @UM

Around this time last year, many of you have changed their password. The UM passwords need to be changed once a year, so in the upcoming weeks you will be reminded to change the password again.

Note: Your password is and always will be strictly yours and cannot be shared with anybody. UM will therefore never ask you for your password by e-mail, phone or other media.

Free Menstrual Products at FASoS and UM-wide

As of this week, there are free menstrual products available in four bathrooms at FASoS.

Did you forget a tampon or pad at home? Don’t worry, we got you!

This initiative is led by UM staff members (one here at FASoS) and Feminists of Maastricht. This initiative received a D&I grant earlier this year with the vision of contributing to putting an end to period poverty. The project will run for one year as a pilot.

Digital open office hours Front Office as of next week

As of 22 November, you can visit the FASoS Front Office digitally on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays between 10.00 and 11.00.

You can ask your study-related questions to the Front Office via Zoom: https://maastrichtuniversity.zoom.us/j/6302969437 (Meeting ID: 630 296 9437).

The Front Office makes use of a digital waiting room, so it might be the case that you have to wait a little bit before you can ask your questions.

As of 14 October, FASoS can access the database ‘Central and Eastern European Online Library’ (CEEOL) for a trial period of 4 weeks.
