The Kremers Award is a prize of €5000 for the best thesis or dissertation on socio-economic restructuring.

Génération Maastricht is looking for new members

Génération Maastricht is an independent and apolitical think-tank that promotes work on the European Union. They now have more than 750 sympathisers, 150 volunteers and 50 researchers while being entirely student-led. They work with the United Nations and European institutions in an interconnectedness to foster multilateral cultural and political geopolitical matters.

Apply for the YUFE Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programmes

The Young Universities for the Future of Europe (YUFE), led by Maastricht University, is launching new activities promoting entrepreneurship and innovation, open to all students enrolled at UM or any of the partner universities in the Alliance.

The YUFE Entrepreneurship and Innovation programme consists of two new initiatives: the YUFE Challenge Teams and the Entrepreneurial Programme.

Open Studios 2021: call for volunteers

The Jan van Eyck Academie is looking for enthusiastic and dynamic volunteers who could help carry out the annual Open Studios.

The Open Studios will happen from 23 – 26 June and from 1- 3 July. Volunteers’ work will involve preparing studios, helping with the execution of projects and the public programme, making all visitors feel welcome and well­-guided and finally, assisting in dismantling the exhibitions.

University of Vienna Summer School for European Cultural Studies

From 7 – 30 July 2021, the University of Vienna is organising the Summer School for European Cultural Studies – Art & History.

The summer school courses provide an introduction into European Cultural Studies. The view of Europe from the outside is mostly dominated by economic issues. But Europe is very much defined by its history and culture. Two key aspects of this preoccupation with the European area will be offered in the summer courses.

Submit your Dutch essay for the Gerrit Krol Award

The University of Groningen established the Gerrit Krol Award in 2019 in order to pay structural attention to Dutch as an academic language.

You are invited to submit an essay in Dutch of max. 2000 words with the theme ‘scenarios for the future’ before 1 June 2021 via gerrit.krolprijs@rug.nl. One condition is that the essay must not have been published elsewhere. For all other criteria, see the regulations.
