Pitch your idea for UM Diversity and Inclusivity Grants

After 4 successful rounds in previous years, UM is opening the 2022 round of the Diversity & Inclusivity (D&I) Grants: time to push the limits!

A more inclusive UM, how would you realise this? Do you have ideas on how to increase student or staff diversity? Or how to create a more inclusive UM community? Pitch your idea for a UM D&I Grant.

The deadline for proposals is 6 March 2022.

Call for papers: Research Conference Science and Technology

The 6th International Undergraduate Research Conference on Science, Technology, Medicine and Society will be held online by the University of Toronto on 24 and 25 March 2022.

The theme is the interaction of science, technology, medicine and politics and the conference will include a keynote speech from Maya Goldenberg on vaccine hesitancy.

For this conference, a call for papers for undergraduate students has opened. The deadline is 31 January 2022.

Submit your BA thesis for the Popular Music Thesis Prize

Did you write your BA thesis on a subject related to popular music? Then submit your thesis for the IASPM/VNPF Popular Music Thesis Prize before 31 December 2021!

Applications can be submitted to IASPM Benelux in PDF by sending an email to c.j.tonelli@rug.nl.

The prize money is €100 for the BA Thesis Prize winner plus one year of free IASPM Benelux membership.

Deadline extended: represent FASoS at EuroSim 2022

Each year our faculty appoints a group of students to represent FASoS at an international EU simulation called ‘EuroSim’, which brings together 200 students from various European and US universities.

In 2022, this annual event is going to take place online from Monday 3 January until Thursday 6 January. The 2022 topic of negotiations is Trade – the regulation on foreign subsidies distorting the internal market.
