Standing up for Science Workshop early career researchers, on 9 December

Less than two weeks to apply for the next @voiceofyoungsci’s ‘Standing up for Science’ workshop taking place on 9 December in Leiden.

Meet researchers who have engaged with the media, learn from respected science journalists, find out how researchers can inform policymakers, and learn how to involve the public in communicating research.

Applications need to be submitted here by Monday 31 October.

Farewell lecture and symposium Renée van de Vall, on 19 January 2023

Renée van de Vall will give her farewell lecture on Thursday 19 January 2023 at 16.00 in the Aula, Minderbroedersberg 4-6 Maastricht.

The title of the speech is ‘Caring for contemporary art: Reflections on ethics and aesthetics in precarious times.’

The speech will be preceded by a symposium about ‘Care as transdisciplinary concept’; details about the programme will be announced on the FASoS intranet and on the MACCH website.

Research Stories: FASoS exhibition workshop, on 25 October

On Tuesday 25 October from 14.00 – 17.00 in the attic (GG80-82, room 3.002), the KNAW research communication group and Denise Petzold, Emilie Sitzia, Christian Ernsten and Jacob Ward are organising a workshop on how to write brief and informative wall labels for an exhibition (and a broad public) planned at a later moment.
