ORCID iD: make yourself and your research results more visible
Do you worry about getting credit for your research because your name is common or you have publications under multiple aliases (e.g. married name and maiden name)? Do you struggle to keep track of all your research outputs? Are you annoyed by having to enter the same information over and over in manuscript and grant submission systems?
To solve these problems, there’s ORCID, the Open Researcher and Contributor ID.
Research Data Management portal
To improve the support for UM researchers in the management of research data, the University Library recently launched the Research Data Management (RDM) portal.
The portal brings together information concerning the management of research data in every research phase. It provides information on the available research data management infrastructure, practical solutions and where to find assistance.
New from the University Library: ‘Similarity check service’
The University Library launched a new service in their Research support portal: the Similarity Check Service. Whether you want to authenticate your own writing, that by your co-author, or by your PhD-student, the Similarity Check Service is the tool for you. The University Library’s Similarity Check Service can help all researchers to prevent sloppy referencing or plagiarism.

Renewed: Borrowing from another library
Do you use our service to borrow from other libraries when a title or article is not available in our collection? On 28 January we switched to a new tool for these requests.
What changed?
Have you found a title, chapter or article through the UM catalogue LibSearch that is not part of our collection? You can request the item(s) using the button in the search result to order the title, chapter and/or article from another library.
