On Monday 6 January, right after the christmas holidays, students were updated in the Turnzaal on the cyber attack that was targeted against UM on 23 December.
FASoS dean Sophie Vanhoonacker explained that after the cyber attack, the top priority was to ensure education could resume as usual on Monday 6 January. Thanks to our IT staff – and also other staff members – that have worked continuously since the cyber attack, this has been made possible. The student portal, eleum, the timetable and the library were all working again already before 6 January.
