In May, the Faculty Board of FASoS held two meetings, on 10 and 24 May. For an overview of the decisions and announcements, please read below.
Decisions
• The Faculty Board advised positively on the transformation of special chair in ‘Digital Cultures in Development’ into a full chair ‘Digital Cultures’.
• The Board appointed Jo Wachelder member of the Board of Examiners. Nico Randeraad has been appointed excellence coordinator (marble and honours programme), and Thomas Christiansen will take over from Tannelie Blom as head of the PCE research programme. The Board sincerely thanks their predecessors: respectively Giselle Bosse, Pieter Caljé, Tsjalling Swierstra, and Tannelie Blom for their dedication and commitment.
• The Faculty Board discussed and accepted the profile report for the special chair Innovation of Classical Music (a joint initiative of the Province of Limburg, Maastricht University, Zuyd, and the philharmonie zuidnederland.
• Concordantia will receive 750 euro for their yearly Board Alumni Dinner.
Announcements
• The Faculty Board will open three new vacancies: full professor at the Department of Philosophy, full professor at the Department of Literature and Art, and an associate professor at the department of Social Sciences and Technology. The Board and the respective heads of department will compose the profiles.
