Important decisions and announcements Faculty Board meetings April

The FASoS Faculty Board held two meetings on 6 and 20 April.

Decisions

  • Due to the Dutch government’s regulation ‘Stimulating European Research’ (SEO), FASoS presently receives a reward for EU funding successes. The Faculty Board adopted the OTO advice with regard to the distributing of these financial means.
  • Furthermore, the Board agreed to the application procedure for SEO Additional Research hours.

  • The Faculty Board approved the state-of-affairs report Research Master European Studies.
  • The Board decided to discontinue the obligation to involve a third reader in the final assessment process.
  • The third sit in the master’s programmes will be abolished from next academic year.
  • The Board took the decision to enable extracurricular internship in the third semester of the master’s programmes, and the fifth semester of the research master’s programmes. Graduation can be postponed up to six months.

Announcements

  • To demonstrate the societal impact of the Faculty’s research, FASoS plans to create a specific website dedicated to societal impact activities, and to create a small task force of colleagues clarifying FASoS’ approach in this field.
  • The Solver hours for administrative roles in 2015/2016 were registered and shall be published on MyFASos, Solver (Manuals and Info).
