The FASoS Faculty Board held two meetings: on 11 January and on 25 January.
Decisions
- The Faculty Board agreed to the initiative to award a ‘valorisatie’ prize at the beginning of each academic year.
- The Board approved three proposals in the framework of the NWO PHDs in the Humanities programmes. The supervisors and PhD candidates concerned will further work on their final application.
- Following the advice of the heads of department the Faculty has decided on the vacancies for academic staff 2017/2018. At its meeting of 1 February, the Faculty Council endorsed this.
- The Faculty will stand surety for an amount of 1,000 euro for the Winterball 2017 organised by Concordantia, Orakel and Student Representatives.
Announcements
- At the start of the academic year 2017/2018 a new minor, ‘Great Thinkers’, will be introduced to the FASoS curriculum.
