Do the level assessment test for your free language training

All second- and third-year Bachelor European Studies Students can choose a foreign language in their curriculum.

You can do the level assessment now and then register for the right language course.

Please register for the language course before Friday 27 November. Do so via the student portal, not via the registration form on the website of the language centre.

When is the test compulsory?

  • If you have prior knowledge in the language you want to learn, and
  • If you have not successfully completed the previous level at the Language Centre last year

How?

Simply do the level assessment online or schedule an appointment with one of our teachers for the following languages:

After the level assessment, you will receive a binding advice for which level you have to register.

Please note that if you register without doing the level assessment first, you may not be able to change courses after the registration deadline as places are limited.

For Arabic, Chinese, Portuguese and Russian no level assessment is needed. If you have no prior knowledge of the language yet or would like to start from the beginning, just register for the beginner’s course. You can register for the second module if you have prior knowledge and believe the higher level better suits your need. During the first lesson, the teacher reserves the right to advise a lower or higher level if better suited given your current language level.
