In January 2020, many businesses and policy makers will be coming to Maastricht to discuss the future of eSports, focusing particularly on simulated car racing (simracing).
There is a special student programme on Friday 17 January open to BA Digital Society students (which does not conflict with your Surveillance Society course).

The student programme features presentations by speakers from software companies, games companies and policy makers. All speakers have been asked to address the impact of simracing on society, culture and politics. Even if you do not engage in eSports yourself, this is a great opportunity to learn more about a growing digital society industry.
