Extracurricular course on social justice

Together with the global citizenship education initiative (GCEI), Maastricht for Climate is launching the first module of the interdisciplinary course on social justice in a globalised world.

Starting in November, the course is a student-led initiative taking on-board professors from all faculties around UM! The course will focus on the question “how can we be socially responsible as global citizens ?” by discussing both personal and academic perspectives.

It will touch upon a wide array of topics ranging from economics and law, humanities, medicine and science. This inter-faculty course is a great opportunity for students who want to get ahead in these disciplines and strengthen their degree, enrich their overall knowledge about one another or seek to properly understand the stakes of living in the Global Society of 2020. Pressing issues such as global health crises, climate change and inequality will be discussed in depth. No prior knowledge is required!

The introductory module will be followed by four modules focusing on the different facets of a globalised world. You can find out about the participating lecturers, the modules and any further details by subscribing to our newsletter.
