FASoS Student Representatives are recruiting

Have you ever wondered what is going on behind the curtain in our Faculty? Would you like to represent the interests of the students and improve the atmosphere in the faculty?
If you’re a 1st year European Studies or Arts & Culture student, motivated in engaging yourself in University matters, then join the student reps and send your motivation letter and CV to studentrep@maastrichtuniversity.nl. Application deadline is Friday 21 September.

The Arts and Culture Programme Committee and the European Studies Programme Committee are each appointed bodies, made up of students and staff, which work to improve the content and structure of the study programmes they respectively represent. Student members are expected to set forth the perspective of their fellow students during regular committee meetings which cover matters like the evaluation of courses, the planning of curricula, possible changes to the Education and Examination Regulations, and any other pertinent issues which arise during the course of the year. The meetings are collegial, with students and staff working together to find common solutions.

Alongside these duties, student members of the programme committees work closely with the other Student Representatives to pursue an agenda, which represents the students’ interest at every level of the Faculty administration. Furthermore, as members of the Student Representatives, programme committee members work with their fellow representatives to come up with, and conduct, a wide variety of extra-curricular initiatives in and around the faculty. New and innovative ideas are always welcome at our weekly meetings!
