Our #FASoSociety series has now come to an end, but keep an eye out for the new series in the new year. This week’s story features BA student Alicja Przybysz and her tutor Marietje Kardaun.
“Apollo and Dionysus was a great introduction to the Arts and Culture programme. It really laid a foundation for all the other courses. During this course we looked into the roots of western thinking, western philosophy and ethics. It helped us gain a broader perspective in understanding and analysing our modern society, which we did in the following courses.
Marietje was a great tutor. She gave us excellent guidance, making the philosophical concepts less abstract by giving practical every day examples. Because the course was so interesting the tutorial group worked well together. We were very passionate and everyone was involved.”
