Ferenc Laczó has co-edited, with Csaba Tibor Tóth, the series Victimhood and Decolonisation on Mérce, the largest fully independent Hungarian-language portal.
The series has been published between July and December 2020 and includes twenty contributions in total. The series reflects on the histories of imperialism and colonialism and on ongoing Western debates regarding modern statehood and racism from various East European points of view.
Two key aims of the series have been to connect the analysis of racism and anti-racist agendas with explorations of the relationship between the West and Eastern Europe, and to study how Holocaust remembrance and trends in decolonisation have interacted in the ‘new West.’
