On 28 May, from 14.00 – 15.30, Patrick Bijsmans (FASoS) and Simon Lightfoot (Faculty of Social Sciences, Leeds) are hosting a cross-national exchange on a) things that we want to keep and b) things that we don’t want to keep after a year of teaching and learning online.
The event is open to all FASoS students and staff.
You can register for this event here. When registering, you will also have a chance to propose a short intervention.
This joint event is intended as an opportunity to reflect on the mainly online delivery in 2020/2021 in order to start thinking about 2021/2022. Note that eligible faculty staff will receive 1.5 CPD hours for attending the event.
The event is structured in the following way:
1a: Brief reflections on what staff and students would like to keep from the pivot online (4 remarks per institution: 2 staff, 2 students – 1 minute each)
1b: Brief reflections on what staff and students don’t want to keep from the pivot online (4 remarks per institution: 2 staff, 2 students – 1 minute each)
(Possible areas for discussion include, but are not limited to: online assessment, supporting students in active learning online, using tools to support online teaching and learning)
2: Reflections on learning spaces and multi-modal delivery: 30 mins
Please write to Patrick (patrick.bijsmans@maastrichtuniversity.nl) in case of questions.
