As from 1 September, Lies Wesseling, special chair in ‘Cultural Memory, Gender and Diversity’ has been promoted to full professor. Her work will continue to focus on questions of cultural memory addressed from the perspective of gender and diversity and more particularly on the cultural remembrance of child removal in the colonies by contemporary postcolonial Western societies.
Lies will also continue to lead the faculty’s Centre on Gender and Diversity.
