The EU Erasmus+ has granted support for a new Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence that will be co-directed by Profs. Kiran Klaus Patel and Sophie Vanhoonacker in cooperation with Profs. Jürgen Mittag (German Sport University) and Wolfgang Wessels (University of Cologne). This transnational centre deals with the perceptions and the history of the European Council. It will further strengthen FASoS’ portfolio in EU studies and has started its activities this month.
The Centre will combine teaching-related activities and research, highlighting the role of the European Council as a key body in the institutional architecture of the EU.
