Guidelines for social media submission form

How to submit a message
You can submit a message by completing the submission form. Please specify on which social media channel the message should be published. You can also choose multiple channels for your message.

You can choose from the following FASoS social media channels:

Messages can be submitted at all times, however, please be aware that all content will be checked and edited if necessary. The marketing & communications office will try to apply your desired time and placement of the message, but has the right to choose a different time and date according to the social media schedule. No rights can be derived by the submission of social media messages.

Message content and format
Messages should be relevant to FASoS students (current, alumni or prospective) and FASoS staff. All messages have to be submitted in English.

Facebook
The ideal length of a Facebook post is approximately 80 characters. Please keep your messages short and concise. Make sure to add a link (URL) to more information, if applicable. Recommended upload size of pictures of 1,200 x 630 pixels.

Instagram
The ideal length of an Instagram caption is between 138 and 150 characters. Try to keep your posts as short as possible to increase engagement. The size of Instagram images is 1080 x 1080 pixels.

Pictures in Instagram stories:
Recommended resolution is 1080 x 1920. Minimum resolution is 600 x 1067.

Twitter
The maximum length of a Tweet is 280 characters. For tweeted images: maximum size is 1200 x 675 pixels and minimum size is 600 x 335 pixels.

LinkedIn
Ideal Number of Characters in a LinkedIn Status Update: +/- 100 Characters. LinkedIn is different from other platforms like Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, in that it is not as visual. When you take a look at status updates on LinkedIn, you’ll notice most consist of a headline and a link to an article. Recommended size for images or links: 1104 x 736 pixels.
