Hackathon in Lille: How to ‘reset’ a European territory, on 10-12 May

‘404 error : territory not found. How to ‘reset’ a European territory. The Lille European Metropolis and near-by Dutch cities’ is the central topic of the first Hackathon organised by the Lille European Metropolis (MEL) and the Dutch-French Network (RFN) on 10, 11 and 12 May 2017 in Lille, France. To apply, please visit the website.

The hackathon is a competitive case study in which ambitious young MA and Ph.D. students and young professionals in the Lille Metropolitan area and near-by Dutch city-regions tackle different challenges related to their territory: i.e. improving collaboration, interconnectivity, student mobility and tourism by means of new technologies.

In this two-day hackathon, participants compete in teams to devise a territorial ‘reset’ strategy: a new European cooperation strategy for the Lille Metropolitan area and near-by Dutch cities and metropolitan areas. Applicants from all domains of study are welcome and encouraged.

This short event offers ample networking opportunities, students and young professionals between 18 and 30 years old can apply for this event which is open to all disciplines. A specific networking evening will be organised, open to universities, institutions and businesses operating in both countries. All events will be held in English. All costs related to participation (travel, meals, lodging) will be covered by the organisers.
