The Teaching and Learning Politics Group promotes teaching and learning in the field of Political Science, International Relations, European Studies and related disciplines via the organisation of panels at ECPR and other conferences. The group wishes to engage all colleagues in meaningful discussions on improving the quality of political science education.
The group attempts to spread the concept of scholarship of teaching and learning with the aim of improving the recognition of pedagogy among the responsibilities of political science scholars. Some examples of their activities are the organisation of a Teaching and Learning Summer School or the organisation of a conference on teaching and learning Political Science. Membership in the group is open to all political science scholars who work in academia and are interested in teaching and learning issues.
