The FASoS Faculty Board held three meetings on 1, 15 and 28 November.
Decisions
- The Faculty Board will sponsor EuroMUN 2018 with an amount of €3,500. EuroMUN will take place in Maastricht, from 10-13 May.
- The Board agreed to the proposed k€50 Diversity-money, which is part of the Aspasia-budget.
- FASoS will finance the participation of six students and one staff member in EuroSIM 2018. The total amount is €2,950.
- The Faculty Board also decided to finance the potluck dinner for and organised by Student Representatives.
- The Board followed the advice of OTO regarding approval of several applications for the Research Stimulation Fund (RSF) and the Valorisation Stimulation Fund (VSF).
- The 2018 edition of Student Forum Maastricht (SFM) receives a financial contribution of €3,500.
Announcements
- The Board appointed Philip Post assistant programme director BA Arts and Culture as of 1 January 2018.
- Re-appointments as of 1 January: Renée van de Vall chair of the department of Literature and Art; Aline Sierp secretary of the department of History; Bart Roosenboom external member of the Board of Examiners; Vivian van Saaze vice-chair of the FASoS Complaints Committee.
- In the first four months of 2018, FASoS welcomes several visiting PhD-candidates: Lillian Frost and Samuel Schmid (MACIMIDE) and António Leitao (department of Political Science).
