Have you nearly completed, or recently obtained, your PhD degree? Are you interested in getting research experience abroad? If so, you might consider applying for an NWO Rubicon grant. For those interested, a Rubicon information session will be held on Thursday 14 July, 12.00-13.30. Please register by Thursday 7 July. Information on the location will be provided after registration.
The Rubicon grant makes it possible to visit and get experience at a top research institute abroad for a period of 12 – 24 months. Young researchers who are completing their PhD (thesis has to be approved), or have completed their PhD less than 12 months ago, are eligible to apply.
There are three deadlines a year: in March/April, September and December.
The meeting is open to all those interested in applying now or in the future. The NWO Rubicon coordinator will introduce the programme and the evaluation procedure, and will also shed some light on common misunderstandings.
A Rubicon committee member plus a Rubicon fellow will share their experiences with you. The programme is thus full of relevant information and experiences, and there will be enough room for Q&A.
