You will be divided in teams to present the best social-entrepreneurial solution to the Challenge, and earn a chance to win in-kind prizes worth €300. The Innovator Challenge aims to solve complex problems through entrepreneurial solutions. Similar to the concept of a Hackathon, it brings together creative and innovative students that want to work on the next big thing.
Participation at the Innovator Challenge also entitles you to a free preparatory design-thinking workshop organised with Make Sense Maastricht, on 10 May. This will get you ready for the Challenge day on 11 May. After the team working session, you will have to pitch your solutions in front of a jury formed by representatives of the Refugee Council and local (social) entrepreneurs. The team with the best solution will receive in-kind prizes worth 300,- euro, certificates of participation, and a letter of recommendation. All participants will receive a certificate of participation.

MeWeek ’16, taking place between 9-12 May, is the largest entrepreneurship event of its kind in the Netherlands, organised entirely by students, for students. Under the theme ‘Make Your Move!’, MeWeek aims to inspire you to take bold initiatives in the world of (social) entrepreneurship through a dynamic programme:
- listen to inspirational talks of more than 20 top speakers
- attend workshops on the subjects of investor readiness or crowdfunding
- participate actively in the Innovator Challenge or in the Limburg Finals of the Startup Pitch Competition of Get in the Ring
- join the pitch talks and 3DeepDive workshops about 3D printing in business
