The Jan van Eyck Academie is looking for an intern to help with the organisational matters of the annual Open Studios event taking place on 23 – 26 June and 1 – 3 July 2021.
The internship covers the period from 1 March 2021 until mid-July 2021 (end date upon mutual agreement). From 1 March to 1 June, you are required to work 16 to 20 hours per week. From 1 June to 1 July, you are expected to work for at least 24 hours per week.

Your tasks consist of:
- Making an inventory of artists’ needs regarding technique and other materials;
- Organising the technic together with the technical assistant; and setting up and breaking down shows and exhibitions;
- Making a floor plan of the Open Studios set up;
- Creating daily schedules;
- Gathering and managing a group of dedicated volunteers;
- Help with catering during the event;
- Researching and setting up online registration systems;
- Together with the Communications Department, assist with such PR matters as maintaining the social media channels;
- Keeping track of and assisting with the academy’s daily programme, organisational and administrative matters
