The Jan van Eyck Academie is offering a paid internship position within the framework of the Future Materials programme.
Internship period: September 2022 – January 2023
Hours per week: full-time (preferably)
Monthly allowance: 500 euro

The intern will assist the Nature Research coordinator in the launch, development and implementation of the programme, in collaboration with the rest of the Future Materials team and the academy staff. The intern’s tasks will revolve around content-related research, surveying and supporting participants’ interest in materials, assisting in the planning and organisation of the Future Materials workshop programme.
The selected intern will also partake in collecting and archiving material samples and in researching new materials to be included in the Future Materials Bank. Other tasks involve text editing, social media management, supporting the academy participants in their inquiries concerning sustainability and ecology, and liaising with academy staff.
Requirements
- BA or MA student in arts, design, arts management or similar;
- Interest in sustainability and the material aspects of art practices;
- Great capability to work in a team as well as to carry out tasks independently;
- Multitasking and organisational skills, eye-for-details;
- Great communication and writing skills;
- Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English;
- Dutch is an advantage.
