Introducing: Christin Hoene

Hello everyone, my name is Christin Hoene. I joined FASoS at the beginning of February as Assistant Professor in Literary Studies.

At the moment, I still live in Canterbury, where I have been working as a postdoc in the School of English at the University of Kent for the past three years. I will be moving to Maastricht at the end of March, and I am really looking forward to meeting colleagues and students in person.

My areas of teaching and research focus are modern and contemporary anglophone literature, with a particular focus on postcolonial literature, sound studies, word and music studies, and queer theory.

I’ve lived, worked, and studied in a couple of pretty places now, including Canterbury, Berlin, Edinburgh, and Bremen, and I am so pleased that I get to add Maastricht to the list. I also play the violin and love swimming, and if anybody wants to get in touch to chat about any or all of the above, please do so at c.hoene@maastrichtuniversity.nl.
