I will be one of the new tutors at FASoS, primarily teaching in courses dealing with anthropology, identity, nationalism and Eastern Europe. I defended my PhD thesis in 2015 at the VU University in Amsterdam in the department of Social and Cultural Anthropology, where I wrote a dissertation about the meaning of the past in contemporary Estonian society. Alongside my job at the UM, I work in applied social scientific research.
My ethnographic fieldwork in Estonia was a great experience, which I would like to share with FASoS students in various ways. I also hope to contribute to the department with my experience in applied research.
