Hello! My name is Kelly Schoueri and I’ll be joining FASoS as a research assistant for the PURE3D project with Costas Papadopoulos and Susan Schreibman.
I am originally from Michigan in the US but have lived for the past 5 years in Scotland, Austria and Brazil. My academic background is in archaeology and I have in recent years developed as a 3D graphic artist for the cultural heritage sector.
Within the faculty, I’ll be focusing on user experience and feedback for the PURE3D digital scholarly platform by planning and organising events and meetings for various stakeholders. I also have a strong interest in digital design and 3D visualisation as a tool for research methods as well as being an accessible and interesting output for public audiences.
Most recently, I have been collaborating with a research lab on provincial Roman archaeology (LARP) at The University of São Paulo (MAE-USP) on Roman-era sites in North Africa and Israel by developing 3D representations of artifacts and structures of interest.
I look forward to meeting the other staff and students at FASoS and getting to know everyone! Feel free to reach out for anything, professional or personal: k.gillikinschoueri@maastrichtuniversity.nl.
