Hello everyone, wonderful to meet you all (again)! My name is Laura Brouwers and two weeks ago I joined FASoS as a teaching assistant at the Department of Political Science.
Two years ago, I graduated from FASoS with an MA in Arts and Heritage: Policy, Management and Education.
During the past two years I have worked as a research assistant at the Centre for Freedom of the Media at Sheffield University, gained experience as a fundraiser for (non-profit) organisations in the cultural and social sector and interned at the Memory Studies Association. During the recent lockdown, I embraced the baking craze, tried to balance that out with going for long walks and started learning to play chess.
Stepping into the faculty again, I saw both new and familiar faces. I am really looking forward to getting to know you all better over the next course periods. I am very excited about this opportunity to grow personally as well as professionally by working together with you!
