Defence for Children International (DCI) and the World Organization against Torture (OMCT) are launching the ‘Justice for Children Award‘, a competition for which students enrolled in European universities are encouraged to write a paper on the theme ‘Violence against children in the justice system’. The paper should not exceed 15.000 words (c.a. 30 pages), be written in English or French, and must be submitted at the latest on Saturday 30 April.
The winner of the competition will be awarded a monetary prize of 1’000 Swiss Francs (c.a. 900€) and a chance to attend one of the session of the Human Rights Council, Committee on the Rights of the Child or the Committee against Torture. An event will also be held in Geneva in late May/early June 2016 and the winner will of course be invited to attend.
