On 27 September from 16.00 – 17.00, the app ‘Weg van Lawaai’ will be launched at Beeld & Geluid in Hilversum. There will be a discussion followed by drinks.
The free app offers audio stories on the history from, in and around the car. The stories are designed to be listened to on the A2 and are voiced by Rik van de Westelaken.
Karin Bijsterveld and Anique Hommels worked on the app together with Beeld & Geluid and Q42.

The app uses historical audio clips from the archive of Beeld & Geluid. Using GPS, stories will be offered to you that link to certain points on the road.
After the launch of the app, Bas Agterberg (Beeld & Geluid) will interview podcaster Tjitske Mussche, app developer Matthijs Bernson and architect Fons Verheijen.
