Lecture: ‘Liberty Talks! – Fascism in the 21st Century‘. Professor Pablo Del Hierro will present about Fascism in the 21st century. The talk will focus on how the current tendency of labeling right-wing advocates as ‘fascist’ influences the political discussion on both sides. Furthermore, the impact on the ability of people to spot and describe actual fascist movements will be touched upon.
The event will take place on Wednesday 18 April, 19.00 – 21.00, in the Law Faculty (room to be announced).
Maastricht Students For Liberty (MSFL) gives a wide variety of speakers the platform to talk about topics of contemporary interest. We thus hope to give the student population of Maastricht the opportunity to learn more about topics they are interested in. In our first edition of Liberty Talks! Pablo del Hierro will present his work.
Del Hierro is an Assistant Professor of History at Maastricht University, having obtained his Doctorate in the European University Institute. He specialises in political history in the twentieth century, focusing on right-wing movements and neo-fascism.
