Masterclass with Robert Putnam, on Monday 25 November

On 25 November, Robert Putnam, the eminent political sociologist, gives the first Jaap Dronkers Lecture in Maastricht. As part of his visit, Prof. Putnam will conduct a Masterclass earlier that day for a limited number of students.

When: Monday 25 November, 15.00 – 17.00
Where: UCM

There is a limited number of spots available. To give everyone a fair chance, registration will open here on Monday 11 November at 10.45.

Prof. Putnam is famous for his work on the role of social capital in democracy and on the impact of individualization and inequality on society.

We would like to invite interested students to attend this masterclass. This is a rare opportunity to ask questions to one of the most influential and insightful social thinkers of our time. This event is particularly relevant for students who are interested in sociology, political science, democratic theory, international political economy, as well as anybody who enjoys seeing a great mind at work.

The masterclass will be held as an interactive Q&A session. Students are asked to submit questions in advance, so that the most interesting ones can be selected.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Teun Dekker.
