Maud Oostindie nominated for ISO Teacher of the Year Award

Maud Oostindie has been nominated by UM for the Interstedelijke Studenten Overleg (ISO) Teacher of the Year Award.

Every Dutch higher education institute can nominate only 1 candidate for the award and UM chose our very own Maud!

Every year, the ISO organises the Teacher of the Year Award. The aim of the award is to express appreciation for talented teachers and to address the need for good teachers. An independent jury will choose 4 or 5 finalists, who will give presentations during the award ceremony in spring 2022. The winner of the award will receive a  €25.000 grant to spend on improvements in education.

We wish Maud the best of luck and hope she will be among the finalists for the award and ultimately win it!

  1. I couldn’t think of a more deserving teacher for this nomination. I had Maud THREE times during my BA at Arts and Culture, one time each year, and her tutorials were always my favorite. Not only is she knowledgeable of every subject she tutored, but she was above all caring and empathetic towards students. My sincerest congratulations to her! UM has made the right choice
