On Wednesday, we had our first Arts & Culture Programme Committee meeting of 2021 and we had three imperative points on our agenda: Student’s inputs on Online PBL sessions, evaluation of period 4 courses, and last but not least the Education Plan.
We began our meeting with a lengthy discussion on the current status of the online PBL sessions which seem to be quite difficult to deal with for first-year students especially. Hence we discussed potential ways of making the PBL sessions more productive, fruitful and interactive in an online environment, for instance with a few informal sessions of tutorial groups to enable a smoother communication amongst the students.
Further, we discussed the evaluation of Period 4 courses. This was a rather short and productive discussion as positive modifications were made from our previous discussions and the courses run smoothly.
Finally, we moved to our most pressing point: The Education Plan. We discussed extensively on the ‘Changes Proposal in the Education Programme’ and gave our approval for the suggested changes and developments by our programme directors and staff members.
