Meeting update: European Studies Programme Committee

The European Studies Programme Committee has met up once again to discuss some developments in the curriculum.

Special attention was paid to the elective course Urban Europe and the IWIOs of period 5 for the academic year 2020-2021.

In the last ES Programme Committee, the course manual of the elective course Urban Europe and the evaluations of the IWIOs of period 5 from the academic year 2020-2021. The committee has discussed the first draft of the course book – it seems to be an interesting and creative course, bringing a fresh new perspective to the programme. It should be noted that some clarifications are still to be made regarding the course assessment. The rest of the discussion concerned the topic of the IWIOs of period 5 from academic year 2020-2021.

Regarding the courses of year 1, both Globalizing Europe and Negotiation Skills received positive feedback from the majority of students.

When discussing year 2 courses, Introduction to Quantitative Methods received good feedback. However, International Economics still has some issues which have been discussed – this course will be (as of this academic year) an elective in period 5 year 2. The Committee looks forward to future discussions of the revised curriculum for this course.

Overall, the meeting was concluded on a positive note as all year 3 courses received positive feedback.
