Minor Creative Writing students: On a winter’s night

One might consider staying in. However we, the students of the Minor Program Creative Writing, would kindly ask you to join us instead on the 5th of February. On this special night, we will present the fruits of our efforts in what we consider to be the official closing of this truly remarkable minor. On this night we would like to present to you, our guest, with the fruits of our efforts, a combination of both prose and poetry.

The focus of the evening will be threefold:

Firstly, we will present you with the combined translation project of a famous poem, which we have translated in 7 different languages, among which are Latvian, Arabic and German. Due to the nature of this project, we cannot give the title just yet, but we can divulge it to be closely linked to the title of our evening,

Secondly, we would like to take this as an opportunity to showcase other works that were made during the Minor Program.

Thirdly and most importantly, we as students would like to grasp this opportunity to wholly underline the tremendous value this minor has added to our education and ourselves. Although this was the first time this Minor has been given at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, as a group we hope to gain the interest of prospective students and show them, by example, what results one can achieve thanks to this course.

The night itself will be held the 5th of February at the Landhuis ( http://hetlandhuis.org/). Doors open 20.00 hours and the program will start at 20.30. If you would like to join us this evening, please be so kind as to RSVP and include the amount of people with which you would like join us on the 5th February. You will receive a confirmation as well as further information upon your reply.

We look forward to your reply and hope to welcome you on the 5th of February. After all on a winter’s night…stories are told.
